These terms explain access to the DevD2 fan project. The community rules form part of the terms. The privacy notice explains information handling; it is not a waiver of your legal rights.
The DevD2 service
DevD2 is an independent, non-commercial Diablo II fan project operated in the United Kingdom. For community support and appeals, contact the team through the DevD2 Discord. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or administered by Blizzard Entertainment or the Project Diablo 2 team.
You remain responsible for obtaining legitimate copies of Diablo II and Lord of Destruction. No DevD2 download grants a licence to someone else’s software or artwork.
Accounts, updates and access
Use your own account and email, keep credentials private and follow the community rules. Linking an existing realm account requires proof through the claim process. We may require a verified account, approved device and matching signed client before granting access.
Use only release channels authorised by DevD2. Public launcher downloads remain unavailable on this website until a separate release announcement. A registration or successful email verification is not a guarantee of immediate public-realm access.
Maintenance and game changes
Availability, balance and features can change. Testing, maintenance, an exploit or a serious fault may require an account restriction, item correction, rollback or reset. We aim to explain planned disruptive changes in advance when practical; emergency security work may happen first.
Characters and items are virtual game state, not a cash balance or redeemable property. Do not pay another player for account access or in-game advantages. There is no promise that a particular drop, balance interaction or item will remain unchanged, or that lost progress can always be recovered.
Reasonable limits
The service is provided as available, without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation or compatibility with every computer. Keep your own local backups before installing software. We are not responsible for services, downloads or trades that we do not operate or authorise.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, removes applicable statutory rights, or limits a right given by data-protection law. UK law applies so far as it does not take away mandatory protections available where you live.
Questions, complaints and revisions
Use the DevD2 Discord for support, rule appeals or concerns about these terms. Contact staff privately and never include passwords or verification links. Privacy requests are explained separately in the privacy notice. Material revisions will be identified by date and version. Existing records are not retrospectively changed to claim acceptance of a text that was not presented.
